At Boom, we are blessed to work with amazing artisans and creatives in India to bring our colourful clothing to life.
This season is no different, and we were lucky enough to work with one of our favourite photographers in India again to create this quirky campaign on the streets of Jaipur. It has fast become Dui's favourite!
We asked our wonderful photographer to tell us a bit more about what inspired him to create this campaign and what he loves about working with Boom.
Could you tell us a bit about this campaign and what inspired you?
The concept of the masks comes from the telling story of an average Indian person. The masks symbolise the human experience and everything that comes with it - both positive and negative.
The masks were handmade by a local family who have been creating items from bamboo for over 20 years. This family is from a very poor part of India, and make a living from selling these products on the roadside. I try to work with this family and buy their products to do my bit in supporting them.
What do you enjoy about shooting for Boom?
Shooting for Boom is always fun and gives me creative freedom. The trust Boom puts in my capability to execute is priceless. It’s great that we can collaborate and you are always there if I get stuck somewhere during planning or execution. The clothes are beautiful, I wish you had men’s garments too!!
