For our Summer ‘23 collection, Portcards, we were lucky enough to work with one of our favourite photographers in India again to create an absolutely showstopping campaign in the mountain region of Ladakh.

This was quite the trip for the creative team, travelling to Ladakh from Jaipur and allowing extra days to adjust to the altitude and environment. It takes a big crew for a campaign like this to come to life, from local photographers and videographers, stylists, models and hair & make-up artists, to the Boom team here in Australia who help things come together.

We asked our incredible photographer to tell us a bit more about what inspired her to create this campaign and what she loves about working with Boom.

Could you tell us a bit about this campaign and what inspired you?

I like to shoot Boom Shankar campaigns at interesting places where other people don’t think to go because the locations can be challenging to shoot. In particular, Ladakh has this unseen beauty of nature, culture and people there which is what I always try to reflect through my photos. I love that Boom Shankar always gives me the opportunity to show this.

Could you tell us a bit more about Ladakh?

Ladakh has this clear blue sky and beautiful landscapes that make it one of the most beautiful places in India. I have always dreamed of creating a campaign there, and Boom Shankar’s new prints are so interesting and colourful which I thought would look beautiful against the Ladakh sky. I also like to add some cultural elements in all of my shoots, and this time we added the spirit of Ladakh!

What do you enjoy about shooting for Boom?

I love everything about Boom! The prints, the team I get to work with and the energy. Boom always lets my imagination run wild to bring my vision to life with lots of support and love along the way.
